Sohum Sheth
Co-founder, CEO, and Chairman
Board of Directors
Sohum Sheth founded Policy Matters in an effort to empower students to force a better tomorrow. He sets the organizational vision for the A.C.E. program with an emphasis on empowering students in the Public School system. Sohum makes an effort to get to know each and every member of Policy Matters, he’s always happy to talk!

Operations
Arvind Salem is the co-founder and COO of Policy Matters, with extensive experience in journalism and advocacy, helping grow PM's operations from The Youth Review to include workshops, lobbying, and multimedia.

Anika Jain
Director of Engagement
Anika joined PM to further her passion for educational equity across America. What she loves about PM is how many areas of civic education it encompasses, whether that be as common as learning workshops to financial literacy. Anika's favorite part of ACE would have to be Advocate because she truly believes the youth have the power to change our world for the better.
Sam Kass
Advisory Board
Sam joined Policy Matters when he was a senior in high school. He originally signed on to be the Chief Technical Officer, but upon graduating, resigned and joined the advisory board of the organization. Sam has enjoyed watching as the organization has grown from the twenty or so people when he started to the countless numbers now. He will serve on the advisory board, offering insight and advice whenever and wherever he can.
Jackson Calegari
Co-Host: Across the Aisle
Jackson is a student at the University of California, Los Angeles, studying political science and communication. In high school, Jackson worked as a student member of both the school board and parks and recreation board in his hometown of Windsor, California.
Arvind Salem
Co-Host: Across the Aisle
Ethan is an Honors Freshman majoring in Political Science at Cosumnes River College, where he serves in the Student Senate. He is the High School Outreach Committee Chairman for the California College Republicans, and interns for multiple Senatorial and Congressional campaigns. He was a member of the Heritage Foundation’s High School Fellowship during the inaugural 2024 class and is currently a Heritage Academy Fellow.
